In short
HealthyLiving stores information you enter. It does not diagnose illness or replace advice from a doctor, pharmacist or emergency service.
In an emergency, contact your local emergency service or go to the nearest hospital straight away.
What the service is, and is not
HealthyLiving is a personal health record: a place to keep and organise your own health information. It is not a doctor, a clinic, a pharmacy, a laboratory or an emergency service, and using it does not create a doctor-patient relationship with us or with anyone else.
Your record is what you entered
The medicines, allergies, conditions, readings and results in your record are what you, or someone acting for you, entered or uploaded. We do not check them against your doctor's, hospital's or laboratory's records. A doctor using your Doctor View should confirm anything important with you and with the original source before making a treatment decision.
Automatic checks, results and calculations
The service can compare what you record with reference ranges and simple rules, and can calculate values such as body mass index or a risk score. These are automatic checks on what you have recorded. They are not medical advice and cannot replace seeing a doctor.
Notes on your test results are a guide, not a diagnosis. Only a doctor who has examined you can tell you what your results mean for you. An automatic check that shows nothing unusual does not mean that nothing is wrong.
Symptoms and warning signs
Your symptom diary is what you have recorded. It is not a diagnosis and does not replace seeing a doctor. When you record certain symptoms, the service may ask you some safety questions and advise you to seek urgent care. That advice is a precaution. If you feel very unwell, seek help without waiting for the app to tell you to.
Medicines
Information about medicines in the service is general information, not advice about your own treatment. Do not start, stop or change a medicine without talking to your doctor or pharmacist. Reminders help you keep track; they do not tell you whether a dose is right for you.
Health articles and health packs
Educational articles and health packs are published for general information and lifestyle awareness. They do not constitute medical advice, diagnosis or a treatment recommendation. Always consult your doctor or a qualified healthcare professional before starting, changing or stopping any treatment.
Automated assistant
Answers from the health record assistant are automated responses based on your stored records. They can be wrong or incomplete, and they do not replace a clinical consultation, a diagnosis or personalised treatment advice.
Who reviewed the health content
The service shows who reviewed each piece of health content next to it. Some content has been reviewed by a registered medical practitioner on behalf of the operating company; other wording is still waiting for that review and is marked as such where it appears.
Your decisions
Decisions about your health, and about the health of anyone whose profile you manage, are for you to make with your doctor. We are not responsible for decisions made only on the basis of information shown by the service. Our liability is set out in the Terms of Use.
